On the date of All Souls’ Day, THIS ERA performed a live VJ-set consisting of 16mm color film footage for the multi-disciplinary performance Zielsverwanten by Pierik l’Istelle / Stichting OnGoing.
Zielsverwanten brings people together to honor and remember loved ones through love, reflection, and the celebration of life. Led by Pierik l’Istelle, the project combines professional and amateur dancers to create a choreography rooted in participants’ personal input, developed through workshops and rehearsals.
The creative process incorporates dance tasks to shape compositions, emphasizing collaboration and expression. Zielsverwanten integrates multiple art forms, including visual arts, music, singing, and spoken word, creating a multidisciplinary experience that embodies remembrance, connection, and presence in the here and now.
